This citrine is heated amethyst. Molecularly, it is indeed Citrine. The difference is that instead of being heated by the earth over a lengthy period of time, this was heated by humans. This accelerated process gives the stone more of a golden orange hue vs the normal colors you'd see with natural citrine.
